We determined this e2e failure is unrelated to the PR — the test could not start its external server because port 39949 was already occupied by a leftover process on the CI runner (EADDRINUSE). Our analysis confirms no files from this project were touched by the change, and the flakiness rate is 0%, ruling out a race condition. A rerun after the environment is cleared should resolve it.
Self-Healing CI
An empty commit was applied to the branch to trigger a new CI pipeline execution to resolve the environment issue.
The failing task (tanstack-router-e2e-solid-basic-virtual-named-export-config-file-based:test:e2e) was classified as environment_state rather than code_change for the following reasons:
1. The PR does not touch the failing project. The touched_projects list is empty, meaning no files belonging to this e2e project were modified. The PR is a focused performance optimization inside @tanstack/router-core (skipping an unnecessary replaceEqualDeep call when no destination state is provided). There is no logical path from that change to a port-binding failure in a Solid.js e2e test.
2. The error is a port conflict, not a logic or import failure. The terminal output shows a hard EADDRINUSE: address already in use 127.0.0.1:39949 error. Port 39949 was already occupied when the external Vite preview server attempted to bind. This is an infrastructure-level failure — it has nothing to do with the router-core source change.
3. The flakiness rate is 0%. Because the task has never been observed to pass-then-fail non-deterministically, it cannot be classified as flaky_task. The port was deterministically occupied in this run, pointing to a leftover process from a prior CI job rather than a race condition.
4. No code change could fix this. There is no edit to the PR's diff that would free port 39949 on the CI runner. Resolution requires the environment to be cleaned up (the occupying process terminated) before a rerun.
