We looked into the failing webauthn-device e2e test and found it unrelated to our @types/node bump. Type declarations have no runtime effect, and the failure is a 5s timeout waiting for the 'Logout' button after WebAuthn authentication, which points to intermittent timing. We recommend rerunning the task.
Self-Healing CI
This failure was classified as a flaky task. No code changes are applicable.
Why this was not classified as a code change:
The PR only bumps the @types/node dev dependency from 24.9.2 to 24.19.1. Type declarations are erased at runtime, so they cannot alter browser behavior in a Playwright e2e test.
The error does not reference any changed code. The failure is a UI timing assertion:
expect(getByRole('button', { name: 'Logout' })).toBeVisible()timed out at 5000ms after the WebAuthn authenticate step (webauthn-device.test.ts:100). There is no type error, import error, or build failure. The other test in the same file passed. This points to an intermittent problem in the authenticate step rather than a deterministic break.
The task has a small non-zero flakiness rate of about 1.1%. This is consistent with occasional timing variance in the virtual-authenticator flow.
Waiting would not help. The failure involves a localhost web app and a test harness rather than an external service, so an immediate rerun is appropriate.
The similar-task-failure-detector subagent was not invoked because no similar_task_failures branch was provided.
No code change is warranted, and none was proposed.
